On June 22, 2018, EOSC Mainnet was officially launched. Afterwards, 126 nodes such as CindyDaily, Jeepool and EOSAwake joined EOSC community in succession, and started the journey of EOSC community governance together with all community partners.
With the goal of evolving towards the decentralized high-performance smart contract platform,
EOSC Community and EOSForce Development Team have rebuilt the codes several times under the joint construction and continuous promotion in the past two years, which has gradually improved the performance of EOSC and provided a smooth environment for the high-speed operation of smart contracts.
In early 2019, faced with the problem raised by the community developers that the hard fork upgrade for the mainnet is not conducive to long-term development, EOSForce Team developed a smooth update mechanism based on Effective Block to ensure that the EOSC mainnet can be efficiently iterated through smooth upgrades without compatibility; it’s original heartbeat mechanism has effectively promoted the EOSC main network to be more stable, ensuring the smooth operation of the entire main network around the clock.
In March 2020, EOSForce Development Team launched the first solution to high-performance blockchain light nodes-EOS ArcLight, which provides low-cost and real-time reliable block data for various blockchain applications and lays the foundation of the implementation of high-performance cross-chain services.
In the aspect of technology ecological construction, EOSForce Development Team, Awake Team and other community developers have jointly developed a series of development tools in the past two years, greatly reducing the threshold of blockchain development and effectively improving developers’ development efficiency. For example, FORCE.IO, a high-performance blockchain development framework, helps developers to launch a chain with “one click”, and build applications on the chain without considering the underlying implementation. What’s more, tools such as EOSFORCE.CDT, EOSC development tool set, EOSC contract development online compiler, EOSC historical data query plug-in, etc., also empower developers to directly start technology development from the contract level to the chain level.
In the process of exploring decentralized governance, EOSC community put forward lots of discussions, and successfully implemented a number of improvement proposals such as Node Reward&Punishment Mechanism, Decentralized Budget System, the Foundation, etc., making significant contributions to the sustainable development of EOSC mainnet.
On the occasion of EOSC Mainnet 2-Year Anniversary, EOSC Mainnet Foundation teamed up with the EOSForce Development Team, EOSC Mainnet Secretariat, Math Wallet and EOSC mainnet nodes to launch EOSC Mainnet 2-year anniversary celebration event.
